Isabel Pereira, DO, MS

Residency: Anesthesiology, University of Iowa
Prior to joining the HealthPartners Occupational Medicine Residency Program, I completed 3 years of a Anesthesiology residency. I attended Des Moines University for medical school and completed the Masters of Anatomy program. Before med school I worked in a genetics laboratory, an alternative medicine clinic, and I taught human anatomy. I was drawn to Occupational Medicine because it strives to prevent workplace injuries and treats existing issues while offering a great work-life balance. My hobbies include yoga, gardening, and cooking.
Sarah Bronner, MD
BS, French and Biochemistry – University of Iowa
Medical Schoool: University of Iowa College of Medicine
Residency: Emergency Medicine, HCMC
Originally from a farm in northeast Iowa, Dr. Sarah Bronner completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center. Dr. Bronner has practiced Emergency Medicine since 2010, initially with HealthFront in Santa Fe, NM, then back to the Midwest, with Emergency Physicians, PA (EPPA) at Fairview-Southdale in Edina. In her leisure time, she crossfits, helps out on her parents’ farm, tries to sneak her 2-year old nephew into her schedule, plots ways to escape to Costa Rica to work on her surfing, and tries new recipes out on unsuspecting friends and family.

Andre Montoya-Barthelemy, MD
BS, Biochemistry – University of New Mexico
Medical School: Tulane University
Residency: General Surgery, HCMC
A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Andre earned a BSin Biochemistry before working as an EMT in the rural Pueblo Santo Domingo. After medical school, he drifted up the Mississippi River to the Twin Cities and completed two years of the General Surgery Residency at Hennepin County Medical Center. Andre has a particular interest in working with underserved populations, advocacy, andteaching. He currently lives in South Minneapolis with his wife, Daniela, and their son, Copal.
Scott Riester, MD
BS, Biology Molecular Studies – Cornell University
Medical School: University of Toledo
Residency: Orthopedic Surgery, Mayo Clinic
Since completing his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Mayo Clinic in 2013, Scott Riester has been actively involved in research, and is nearing completion of a PhD in Clinical and Translational Sciences through Mayo Graduate School. He has a special interest in translating research discoveries into novel therapies and treatments that can improve the lives of patients. His current research projects focus on preventing degenerative diseases including rotator cuff disease, osteoporosis, and osteoarthritis. Dr. Riester also has a master ranking in chess and enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge of the game with others.
